First Event

Blues in Public at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Lab Anti-Mall (2930 Bristol Street) in Costa Mesa. There was an upright piano provided by Yamaha and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Musicians attending were: Brad arkin of KOCI (101.5 FM, piano and guitar), Phog Masheeen (trumpet); Milo (percusssion); Chris Qu (percussion); Callan Pampkeill (guitar); James Proctor (two string guitar); Ashley Tello-Alosta (piano); Anthony Mendoza (piano); Jeffrey Lam (piano); Justine Kelso (piano). My apologies is I misread any of the spellings of names.
I was afraid that nobody would show up. I am glad we had a good start with a good mixture of old and young (17-50s). There was very little blues, but the musicians got to play what they wanted to play. It was mostly progressive art rock and modern rock. Thanks to all for a great start!
